A new yakuza film starring Toru Nakamura. The film shows the struggles of a young man who once took the path of a businessman but is now the second in command of a yakuza group, and also depicts his friendship with the members of a rival gang. The film boldly dramatizes the original novel by Nobuhiko Kobayashi, and appeals to the times with its style that sets it apart from other so-called yakuza films, and its portrayal of men in magnificent DC-brand suits has won the sympathy of young people. Masahiro Takashima plays a childhood friend of the rival gang, and Miwako Fujitani plays a woman obsessed with the main character.
